Machupicchu – Sta. Teresa
(3 days)
We will depart from Cusco city to the north-east, we will go across Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo villages, from here we will take the road to Quillabamba crossing Málaga Pass (4,315 meters above sea level), at this point we will stop to appreciate the beautiful landscape, mountains and snow-peaked mountains.
We will descend going through Huayopata, Huyro and Santa Maria villages, until we find Vilcanota River, after that we will take the way to Santa Teresa to overnight.
Early, the second day, we will go to Inca Village of Machupicchu, walking by 3 hours or taking the railroad from hydroelectric power station to Aguas Calientes village, where we will take the bus to Machupicchu Archeological Park, after that we will return to Santa Teresa.
On third day we will be back to Cusco, same route as first day.
Difficulty: 1 and 2
Route: Asphalt and country road.
Main Attractions: Machupicchu, landscapes, natural formations and nature.
