Manu National Park – Rain Forest

(3 days - jungle)

We will depart from Cusco to the south-east direction, driving across Tipon, Huambutio, Huancarani and Ninamarca villages, here you will see the Chullpas (stone buildings used as graves)

We will continue the trip to Paucartambo, nice village with colonial characteristics, located in the basin Mapacho River; after that you will visit San Pedro and Rain Forest, where you will appreciate the Cock of the Rocks (Gallito de las Rocas) and then continuing driving to Chontachaca, Patria and Pillcopata villages; overnight stay in Pillcopata.

Early in the morning, you will go on an excursion by the Tono riverside, and observe animals like: caimans, monkeys, jacquards and insects; paintings on the stones and exclusives routes of this area.

Next day you will visit Hacienda El Carmen, where you will appreciate different species of the region. The way back is through Paucartambo, taking a different route crossing Qollquepata Community and then getting out to the Sacred Valley going through Pisaq to get Cusco city.

Difficulty: 1 and 2

Route: Asphalt and country road.

Main Attractions: You will walk through the edge of the jungle (ceja de selva) in the way to Manu and watch animals and nature.
